Indian Dresses


 Traditional dresses of India 

In India, most of the people wear traditional clothes. Every states have different traditional wears. In Punjab state, women wear Punjabi suits and men wear Pajama Kurta. In Haryana, ladies wear ghagra choli, salwar suits.In Himachal, everyone is seen in wooden clothes due to cold weather and gents of Himachal like himachali cap but if we talk about the south side of India, they wear summer clothes due to hot weather.
 In marriages, bridal dress up in red lehanga. So, they wear different dresses on different ocassions. In wedding ceremonies, dark colour dresses are preferred but on death ceremonies, people wear light colours. On the farewell parties in colleges, Girls like to dress up in sarees.
The dressing sense of Indians changes on festivals. They buy new clothes on festivals and wear new clothes, shoes etc on festivals. The people of Hindu religion dress up in new clothes on Diwali, holi, Karva chauth etc, and muslim religions dress up in new clothes on the occasion on Eid festival. Sikh people like to dress up on Lohri festival.
Hence, the way of dressing in Indians is like a rainbow, different colours are worn on different occassions by different cultures.We can judge the people's culture or festivals on the basis of their dressing sense. Like from red color lehanga, we can judge that she is dressed for the marriage or we can also know about their states by looking towards the dresses, like mostly women of Punjab wear salwar suits.
